Oliver’s back- Chusenko Teitokuson killing giant snake

Oliver wrote me from Poland asking about a traditional Japanese backpiece. We decided on Kuniyoshi’s print of Chusenko Teitokuson killing the giant snake, from the “108 Heroes of the Suikoden”series. At the bottom of the piece, on the back of the legs we chose two namakubi (severed heads.) Oliver sits very well, even on the more sensitive areas. I always admire my clients and their ability to endure the pain of the tattoo process. Their dedication is inspiring to me to push through difficult things in my own life. And not matter how dikffichlt the sessions may be, when it’s finished and they look in the mirror to see the results, there is always a big smile. It’s 100% worth it.

finally we finished Oliver’s backpiece a few months ago. I got some great healed shots of it. Thanks again Oliver for loving Japanese tattooing enough to drive so many hours over the last year. You are a CHAMPION!

Tiger backpiece for Pris

Pris and I met in the studio about a year ago. She came in wanting a smaller tattoo, but was inspired by one of my paintings on the wall and decided on a tiger for her back. We started soon after with the first session, and she adapted well to the process. Pris is really good at being prepared for the sessions and sitting through the pain. I’m including some photos of the process. Please feel free to write me and ask any questions you may have. Thanks for looking.
